Greenbelt Landscapes was started in 1972 by Terry Beltramini in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Terry always enjoyed tending the perennial and annual gardens at his childhood home with his mother, and shared the lawn cutting responsibilities with his brothers. His family owned HoHoKus Hardware and Terry purchased his first lawn mower from the store, on credit, from his family. He began cutting lawns and taking care of perennial and annual gardens in his neighborhood and continued to do so through his college years. Terry attended Ramapo College and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Landscape Design from the renowned Conway School of Landscape Design.

Greenbelt Landscapes, Inc. became officially incorporated in 1983. Design remains the stronghold of the company with Terry involved at every level of each project. Beginning with design and sales, Terry’s hands on focus remains throughout site work, stonework, hardscape, pool design and build. Of course, he continues to fulfill his customer’s needs through maintenance, snow plowing and individualized customer service. Terry’s keen eye provides the vision for Greenbelt Landscapes.  He is accountable and accessible through all stages of every project. On staff are long-term dedicated employees experienced in Design, Construction, Irrigation and Maintenance.  Several staff hold degrees in Landscape Architecture. Terry has a strong community service ethic.  He is a life long resident of his community and continues to give back through his volunteer service as a Ramsey, New Jersey Shade Tree Commissioner and a Rotary International Club member.  For years, Terry has also been an ice hockey coach to the youth of his community.
